Estimate how much insert to mix with a chosen vector amount. Lengths are in kb; use the same length basis for vector and insert.

Shortcut: insert ng = ratio × (insert kb ÷ vector kb) × vector ng. This assumes dsDNA and the usual 660 g/mol per base-pair average; it sets a starting point, not a guaranteed cloning efficiency.
